i really need to know
ok so i just picked up a prelude that has been set up for turbo. car had turbo last owner took it off and just put headers and intake. Car turns on but runs like $h!t. No power and doesnt rev up past 4k. Motor has 200psi all across.
The stupid question is..
If the engine was built with lower compression pistons would it still have 200 psi all across or should it be lower?
Because i want to go NA and drive it daily.

So you get a turbo car to try and go back to N/A and you don't know what was done to the engine, and it seems that the management that was keeping the car turbo was removed or altered... In essence, you've inherited a nice problem that previously belonged to someone else.
Compression numbers won't really help you in determining whether or not you can convert yourself to N/A from what was done. You will more than likely have to get new management, find out what injectors are in there, and retune the car with your NA equipment. Best bet is to talk with the previous owner and hopefully he can remember what he put in there.

It has a 94 civic ecu with a hondata sticker but not sure if it has it programing. I know the ecu is off a 94 civic because its written on ecu but actual ecu sticker has been removed. so idk what it is

The guy had everything on a pice of papper that was tossed out when car was cleaned. Soo thats out of the question which REALLY sucks.
ok this is what i was thinking of doing tomorrow let me know what you think.
I have a set of h22a stock cams and the guy i got the car said he gave me some h22a type s cams but they arent the blue-ish color and i dont even know if they are for the h22. Im going to install stock cam and cam gears, set timming to tdc and re install stock injectors and fpr. I have a p28 with stock tune that im sure works fine to see if i can get it running smooth.
IF that dont work im installing my h22a in the prelude and parting or selling the h22a4 the car came with. I know it runs and drives and the guy said it has skunk 2 stage 2 cams but wont know for sure until i pull them out. I got a loooonng day tomorrow
heres the link to thread i was doing with not much help so i came to force induction. I have pix of the turbo kit i had on and of the car

When i put on the p28 i had the smaller rc injectors in already and thats when it started hard and died right away.
Im guessing it did that because of cam gears are adjustable and adjusted. also i think the cams are for the turbo set up so i want to switch em out tomorrow to stock cams and cam gears and see what happens. Set timing on timing belt to oem spec as well.

turbo cams still retain stock non vtec lobes... so thats not your issue
is the p28 chipped or not? a stock p28 will not run an h22.... the fueling and igniton timing isnt right
and what are smaller? YOU NEED STOCK INJECTORS

Sounds like the previous turbo owner removed the Hondata or whatever was attached to the ECU, when this person purchased it. So chances are he needs another P13 ECU
ok guys
ill install the stock h22a injectors, install the stock tuned p28 ecu for h22 because i dont own one for the 5th gen prelude plus it already has the jumper harness ill let you guys know how it works out. Thanks for the input.
its easier then switching out cam lol thats for sure

i didnt know that they had the same lobes. hahahah they are 300 or 330cc injectors so still big lol Ill do stock injectors, p28 tuned for stock h22, and stock fpr. shouldnt take to long to to in the morning
i got her running!!
The h22 is strong and healthy. Now i just cant get the idle to smoothen out. Its either to high or to low and when i turn wheel all the day the car dies. It was to tight before so i loosened it and it helped a lil.
Im going to a friends how to see if he has better luck finding out whats the matter with it.
