Default compression ratios

would the stock compression ration be safe on a turbo LS motor? i ask because i want to build up a motor first (sleeved, pistons (stock CR),rods,etc...) and then drop it in without the turbo so i can drive the car. i know with lower CR pistons the car will lag and i would have to save up for a turbo. but i need a car so would the stock LS (B18B) compression be ok in a turbo car thats built?

Default Re: compression ratios (deviant1)

No way, put the turbo on now and enjoy it. In the mean time you can plan your rebuild. Its cheaper in the long run and you clan learn and plan ahead to have a killer built motor.
