Seems like from what I read on here there are a ton of fast cars in DFW. I dont think you should have a problem finding one.

1. I have read on honda-tech that uberdata still has bugs
2. You'll have to find an independent tuner to tune your car. Most tuners are hondata dealers and won't tune uberdata.

If you can tune Hondata you can definantly tune Uberdata.
What bugs does Uberdata have? All the so-called bugs are 'user errors'.

I know that..hondata and uberdata share a very similar interface.
But, althought its easy to use, I still don't know of any authorized hondata dealers working on uberdata for people that come in for tuning.

As far as dfw, all I know is that hondata is the booster's 1st choice for engine management and the tuners here prefer hondata. Why would you skimp out $$$ on the most vital part of your car? It doesn't matter how much you put into your setup, the engine management is the key

i agree, that is why im not using an FMU. Uberdata is basically the same as hondata, just without all the fancy features that someone like me doesnt need. I dont need 3-d fuel maps. I just need a tuned car that is reliable.

tune it your self. Get on the uberdata forums and read, read , read more, then read some more, then a little bit more, then maybe a little more. Then buy a wideband and tune your self. I'm sure there is a few people in your area who are running uberdata that would be more than willing to help you out.

tuning myself is really not an option. I will find someone...I messaged MarkC, just awaiting a response from him. He is apparently a moderator in this forum and probably knows his stuff.
I live in Houston tx. I have a wideband and could help you tune your car if you would want to drive. Im currently running uberdata. Should'nt be to hard to find some one were you live that could tune your car though. Anyone that has a wideband and some knowledge on tuning should be able to help you. Especially if they can tune hondata. Good luck

The minor bugs are definitely things I hear on Honda-Tech. But as for finding an authorized hondata tuner to tune uberdata...I've tried to find them in my area, and have had no luck. I've asked Jotech, Intercrew, ProTech, AutoLogic, and Alamo Motorsports. And I am pretty sure Mase wouldn't touch it either.

VSV tunes Hondata, and they are a hondata dealer. If you go uberdata that's fine, but you should tune it yourself, or find a guy who also has uberdata and will help you out. You will be very hard pressed to find a professional tuner that tunes uberdata.

Bugs? "I hear" and "I heard" pretty much negates any statement, especially on this board. I heard that DIY engine management doesn't work, ask the pgmfi.org crowd, they'll tell you. Let us not forget that at one point, hondata had you paying $400 for the unit, more if you want datalogging, and for the longest time there was a bug giving everyone hesitation/stumble at 3000rpms.

Er, you what? You're pretty sure? So basically you're taking a wild stab in the dark? He's said before that he would, but if you're pretty sure...

I've only had good responses from people that use uberdata, and bad responses from people who haven't used it. Why is that?
If you really want to educate yourself on the matter, hop on over to the uberdata forum and do some reading. I challenge you to find more than one person that hasn't made the power they expected, and achieved the reliability that they needed when using uberdata.
