Had my car dynoed today, and was disappointed that I wasn't able to make more power. Got 257WHP and 202torque on my Greddy and B18C1 at 10psi. My motor is built, and I want to run 15-18psi. My power goal is 300whp.

The problem is that the internal wastegate on the 18g is pre-set to go only up to 8 or 9psi. What can I do to keep it shut until around 18psi? I have a Greddy manual boost controller, but it is ***.

get a digital boost controller, IMO, AVCR...and what standalone are you using.

 

I dont think that will help, because the wastegate will still open at 9psi, right?

I see... what is the best manual boost controller? I dont want to invest too much into this because if I cant get 18psi out of the 18g, I am going t3/t04.

I like the profec B. it's not manual, but it is son much nicer and it works good for me. and yes, you can use it to raise boost level on internal wastegates (I do it on mine)
