Is it normal because of the f'ed up timing to be getting pops in the exhaust..I mean like misfires due to running rich? I was curious...Also, when I'm at about 6% throttle if I let it go to around 4.5% it is like I took my foot off the gas...is this normal...it isn't a hesitation really....it literally feels like I let my foot off....It gets annoying while cruising...thanks

 

Not sure of the backfiring, but the other thing seems 'normal' for me ... I've gotten used to it

perhaps you should tune it?

 

Vaportrail just tuned mine yesterday giving me a perfect 12:1 a/f ratio and picked up 30 hp, but it's still a little funky. the popping seems to be gone but it still has a what I call a blip when i'm accelerating at partial throttle, which sounds like the same thing you are getting. I think that it's just one of the trade offs of not having a real fuel management setup.
