I Need Help People! Give Your Opinion Please...
I sold my old turbo setup, I got enough cash to start my new project which is a 93 vx. Anyways, I know this poll has probably gotten posted several times, but I got money and ready to see whats today's answer is. I just undecisive right now and I need help. I plan to build whatever motor I go with and I will be boosting there after, it will be my daily driver as well as weekend 1/4 mile car. Anyways, help me out, if you don't got anything positive to say, then don't post. -Thank You

Depends on how much power you want to make. If you just want something fun to drive I would go sohc vtec, if you want all out power go b18c. I like the d-series because when you start breaking stuff parts are a dime a dozen......b-series parts can hurt the wallet if you know what I mean.....

Thanks guys, looks like b18c1 is the most favorable here. From what I researched using the honda-tech search, I found that the b18b was the most favorable. I guess it's different today, anways I'm building both motors as I stated earlier, also be daily driven as well as boosted. Please give me reasons why b18c1 is better than b18b besides hp for boosting...

B18B. Power where you need it down low, and you can build it to spin up there. In the end you can make more power I believe.

B18C1 is def the best all around turbo motor.
Reasons? Please...Thank You

I have friends that have all of the above setups, b18b, b18c (which i have too), b16a, and the fastest by far is the b18c, bottom line. H22 would def be the best i think...i also have a friend with a turbo h22 in a hatch...bad ***...lot of money tho to get it installed

This is my first post in a while, but here goes..
advantages of the B18C:
stronger internals (i.e. rods, girdle, etc...)
better rod/stroke ratio (translates to less sidewall stress=your stock sleeves'll last longer)
meant for high(er) revving
better oil circulation system (example, oil squirters to help keep friction down)
better breathing head
better overall platoform to build with
(you'll be swapping out parts in the B18B for B18C parts to get it to work better...so why not just go with a B18C?)
overall, the B18C will make much more power reliably that the B18B
