500hp?

Full engine build, crazy turbo setup. Looking anywhere around 5-10g's depending on parts used, labor, etc.

Shoot for 200-300hp, its much easier to use and a lot cheaper.

18 year old kids crack me up.

Your goals are way too high to achieve.

If you refuse to swap, then shoot for something realistic to start with like 200whp.

You can probably get close to 200 hp with a turbo and a decent tune on stock internals, but if your going for more than that, your gonna need to upgrade internals, new cam, valve train, etc. Dont forget a tune is everything when it comes to upgrading your motor.

200-250 hp will be beautiful...500 is a bit ridiculous unless its a drag car

Pricing from Exospeed as a sample:

Darton Sleeve Kit - $549
Sleeve Installation - $790
Eagle Forged Rods - $350
Arias Turbo Forged Pistons - $470
Exospeed Stage 3 Head Service - $1250
Exospeed Stage 3 Camshaft - $260
Quaife Limited Slip Differential - $935
RC 550 cc Injectors (larger may be called for) - $330
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump - $100
AEM Fuel Rail - $130
Fuel Pressure Regulator - $75

We haven't even gotten to the turbo, suspension, management, rims, and tires yet... and we have about $5,000 already A 500 hp car requires ALOT more than you might think.

With all the money your going to invest to get 500 hp out of a d, you would be better off getting a b series and boosting. It would be cheaper and easier build.

With all the money he's putting into it it'd probably be cheaper just to throw a 425 in a foxbody w/ a supercharger 'n pray it holds together at redline.

No, contrary to popular beliefs I really can't care less about my post count. I actually was starting to try to explain to him the basics of what he needed to get there...then I edited it and said nvm, etc. etc.

Ya why bother! Why should you help some one new. It's much cooler to ridicule him!

To the OP, you should read up a little before jumping into it. I would suggest you take a look at the Forced Induction forum we have here. I would also go to turbod16.com there you will get some help about turboing your D16.

If I am going from y7 to y8 and I already have the complete swap minus a harness what extra wiring is necessary?

for 500hp, It will be expensive on any honda. If you want that much power, go for a domestic v8 or maybe an old supra or somethin
