500hp?
Full engine build, crazy turbo setup. Looking anywhere around 5-10g's depending on parts used, labor, etc.
Shoot for 200-300hp, its much easier to use and a lot cheaper.

18 year old kids crack me up.
Your goals are way too high to achieve.
If you refuse to swap, then shoot for something realistic to start with like 200whp.

You can probably get close to 200 hp with a turbo and a decent tune on stock internals, but if your going for more than that, your gonna need to upgrade internals, new cam, valve train, etc. Dont forget a tune is everything when it comes to upgrading your motor.

With all the money your going to invest to get 500 hp out of a d, you would be better off getting a b series and boosting. It would be cheaper and easier build.

With all the money he's putting into it it'd probably be cheaper just to throw a 425 in a foxbody w/ a supercharger 'n pray it holds together at redline.

No, contrary to popular beliefs I really can't care less about my post count. I actually was starting to try to explain to him the basics of what he needed to get there...then I edited it and said nvm, etc. etc.

Ya why bother! Why should you help some one new. It's much cooler to ridicule him!
To the OP, you should read up a little before jumping into it. I would suggest you take a look at the Forced Induction forum we have here. I would also go to turbod16.com there you will get some help about turboing your D16.

for 500hp, It will be expensive on any honda. If you want that much power, go for a domestic v8 or maybe an old supra or somethin
