Turbo Ls/Vtec Build up
Alright guys today I offically started my build. Just dropped the block off at my buddies dads so i should get it back by wednsday if i can get everything ordered..
The blocks a B18A1 and i'm getting AEBS sleeves put in and bored .20 over for my wiseco 8.5:1 pistons. The cranks getting micropolished and bull nosed. And once i figure out what rods im goin to use the whole bottom end will be getting balanced and blueprinted.
Onto the head. I don't really know what head would be better for a turbo build. But my buddy keeps tellin get a B16 head. But would a GSR head be better?? Any help yall can give is greatly appreciated. Mind you the head will be getting a p&p a 3 angle valve job and a set of turbo cams.
Now my goal for this setup is somewhere in the ball park of 600+ so what turbo do you think would be best for the setup..
Again any help is greatly appreciated...

how else are you going to run 60psi of boost?
lol must be at typo
anyways- if both the heads are getting worked, id just get whatevers cheaper. As for the cams- DONT get turbo cams there a complete waste- Id get a set of skunk2 tuner series 1 cams imo

Aight guys little update, i ordered my eagle rods earlier today. And im gonna be pickin up a B16 head on wednesda. But i still dont know what turbo i should run. SC61 maybe?? And what kind of IM should i run instead of an edlebrock one??

Im doing a similar build but im working with a b20b and i asked myself the same question. I started to lean more towards skunk2 pro series IM because it can be ported to 75mm with a blox 74mm TB. thats the match im leaning to until i get the TB opening measurements on the edlebrock IM.
