Check what code the ECU is giving because if the turbo is building boost in and the check engine light stays off , your missing link is working properly .

It could be something else not related to missing link, you not running any fuel system management so flooring it is a bad idea

I've had boost pressure overrun missing links before. If it's throwing the MAP code, then you need to bleed off more air. I usually run check valves (used in aquariums) T'd off a vac line going to the MAP sensor (plug the MAP hole and let the MAP hang on it's own). This has solved the problem for me more than once.

Are you shure that you installed the missing link correctly , becuase if you install it up side down boost will pass from it .

what happens after the check engine code comes on? if it's a map code i believe it will throw it into limp mode..so as soon as the light comes on your revs will drop like a rock and it will feel like the engine is choking out, it will be undrivable until you shut it off and back on or clear the code. almost sounds like you're gonna get a code that says youre running lean...maybe i missed something, but i don't think i would be driving it like that without any kind of fuel management...all you hve to do is run lean too long in some race and it will get hot and you'll blow the engine. def pull the code and see what it says.

i had a missing link and i was over running it all the time. Put a few of the ol aquarium check valves in there and havent thrown a light for the map sensor since.

civicliveit,
yeah i've been running the Petco map sensor bypass (aquarium valves) and it seems to be running fine. i took a plastic tee and cut it so it fits the hole in the throttle body and tapped it into there. however, it could still basically "fall out" if it gets bumped or something. how did you keep yours from falling out or does the tee fit super tight?

Re: I having missink link still get check light? (nolimits)
where are you tee'ing into? i have a line coming off the intake manifold but i've got boost/fmu/bov coming off of there already. if I run the check valves on there i think it will release the pressure and the fmu might not work like it's supposed to since it won't be detecting boost..is this correct? right now it actually seems to be working, but havent run it hard since i've configured it like that.
