i gained more power!
i gutted out the extra cat i had for race on my 94 integra LS and slapped it on my car. didnt know it had so much daym honeycomb and resonator padding. no wonder it was so daym restrictive. now its a hollow monster! nothing but flow!! it was a biotch to take out... but after an hour of pounding through the cat, cutting, and pulling... one blister later... i was done. DAYM! not only did i gain alot of power through the power band and amplify my exhaust louder, i can hear the turbo spool even louder. cool! i shouldve done this sooner!! i guess preppin for a big race gets you juiced.
after watching american pie2, i got to put my car to the test and raced a GSX AWD. those daym cars are pretty quick fixed up... but not as quick as my LS turbo! hehe i had so much daym wheel hop everytime i shifted it wasnt even funny. that ACT grabs so hard and i cant control the wheel hop! sometimes i wanna take off the 17s and run on slicks all day. haha any suggestions to help with the traction problems?

miraiz,
a hollowed out cat is pretty much the same as a test pipe. if i showed it to you... you would probably say "daym thats pretty hollow" haha plus, it looks legal!
ray,
i was thinkin about gettin motor mount inserts... but some people tell me it wont do **** for wheel hops. maybe these people are just talkin out of their ***... who knows.

actually everyone i ask that has a good amount of HP said motor mounts help. So im just wondering how much they vibrate the car at idle.
Hehe, I should show you guys my 3" super duper hi-flow cat
, it's a work of art to me.

Nice socks! LOL!
Motor mount inserts do help. Vibration at idle is not too bad. I admit, my dash does rattle bad at 700rpm, but if I keep it at 800, the rattle is gone completely.

miraiz,
agreed....but my point was....why go through all the work of butchering up a cat when they sell test pipes? Wouldnt it have saved a lot of time and pain?

Also I can get cats free from a local muffler shop cause they always throw away old cats. Also why buy a test pipe? I'd rather put a resonator instead of just a pipe.
first of all,
the stock cat is OEM equipment... therefore, a bashed out hollow cat will still "look" OEM from the outside.
secondly,
im on a budget and i dont have a job! haha
thirdly,
i couldnt find anyone to make me one.

If some of you dont know. The left is a 3" hollowed cat with a 3" pipe stuffed thru it(test pipes flow better than a hollow cat). The right is a 2" regular working cat very similar to most oem hondas. Size does matter

$700???in chinese money right
dude, dont buy a cat from the dealer(at the dealer it costs over $500). Most aftermarket cats are around $100 and just as good. If you want, i'll sell you a gutted cat for $10

Thank god I have my own welding equipment. There's something funny about the fact that a new catalytic converter complete with exotic metals is $100 and people are selling a pipe with a flange and a threaded bung on it for $50.
Hey Yellow bulbs, email me at integrajdm@aol.com. Will I get a CEL?
