I am so getting sick and tired of working on my car
Well its not soo much the working on my car that bugs me. Its when things break or DO NOT COME OFF etc. I cannot go and do anything to my car without having something hold me up and make a 1/2 hour job take 3 hours or more.
It really is driving me up the wall. It happens every single time.
for the love of pete!!! ahhhhh, its gonna make me go bald.
like today.
i was putting in my new feed line.
Well the only fittings that i could get locally were steel earls fittings and the teflon/steel hose. After not putting one hose end on properly and having a small oil leak/ re doing the one side/stabbing the ends of my fingers so many times(damn steel line), IT FRIKKEN BROKE on me!!!!!!!!!!!
I was tightening the fitting onto the turbo and ooohh, it gets really lose. Oh **** I think. I look closer and what do I see..cracks! I pull it off and the end of the fitting is screwed!!!!!!! I went nuts. I spent all late afternoon messing with this stuff and the VERY LAST thing I do and it fuc#ing breaks.
un real.
man what a pain in the ***. Now I need to try and locate another one
On a better note they had the drifting exhibition locally today and I checked it out. The signal cars were there and it was a lot of fun.
I still have rubber all over me

Re: (InTeGrA B18b1)
I already have had mine in for a while. I just need a new (smaller) feed line because of problems with the bigger one(too much oil)
and this is hwat I get... I was happy earlier because things had gone pretty well and easy as it should.. i shouldve know it was too good to be true

haha, I feel the same way man. Maybe it's because of the old cars. Whenever I go to work on mine I expect a stripped or seized up bolt. I should just get a barrel of PB blaster because I use the **** so much. But anyways, the good side about things getting fucked up like this is that you learn from your mistakes, and it just gets easier down the road.

maybe its time to move on..
go NA, or get a euro or evo, your choice
i've had my share of headaches with the turbo teg.
i'll be selling my civic really soon.
my evo will be my last fast car..
i'll be going euro once i graduate from university.

euro?
the thing is, it would be like this with any car you mess with really.
so its not really a honda thing.
this definately wont be my last "fast" car etc.
its just such a pain sometimes

Read my sig , it's all part of the game. For this very reason i have considered getting a beater, so I can take my time fixing little annoyign things that happen. I hate being rushed to fix something because i know i have to go to work on monday morning..

Keep your head up man, stuff happens to everybody...it's a hard way of learning but at least gain experience. Ahhh, a beater is the best mod! I would die if my brother didn't leave during the week and leave his car at my place. School + work + broken car = Screwed!

drifting = rice
Yeah I agree the one thing about working on cars is all the little things that can go wrong.
Luck was on my side this weekend though. I got my entire turbo on the car in a record breaking 6 hours.

Yeah I get like that to. Last night I raced another Vette. On my way back home, I hear my brakes go wild. I was really tired but I needed to go to work this morning so I had to Put brakes on. It does suck and I plan on getting a beater as well.

beater cars make a world of difference... you can start to have some down time without it effecting everything for normal daily commuting.
I get really frustrated sometimes when I am doing something, but with the proper tools and some patience... things work out. Maybe not as quick as I would always like but were there is a will there is a way.
BTW I would maybe use aeroquip if you have problems with earls.

Yeah, I have in videos and their control of their vehicles is amazing, but I just hate how every import car magazine and riceboy drools over it like it's a golden vagina. Same with that ugly *** skyline car. The silvia is 1000% times prettier and classier looking car and it gets 1000% less press. The real cool **** is in wheel to wheel track racing.

it was great seeing them!

Re: I am so getting sick and tired of working on my car (SiRkid)
hey sirkid, i understand where you coming from... same thing on my stupid setup.. problem after problem...
doing the oil feed line, one of the lines were defective and i wanted to end this when starting my 3rd year in comp eng.. but NO it had to be broken, then i had to spend $100 on a new line and getting that in. ALways stuff breaks, alot of the plastic stuff breaks and thigns can't fit in properly. trying to take out that ******* oil sensor took like 4 hours due to socket size and no room under there...
and i'm STILL not done, ******* need to add a boost ctrl and fix up the couplings etc, damn will it end?
