Humor me, what gain will I see? (more boost, and bigger exhaust possibly)
For a reference, the car dyno'd at 350.2/270.6 on the same basemap tune it is running now, and 16 psi...
I am still debating whether or not to drop the money in a 3" exhaust, the car needs tuned anyway so now is the time to do it if I'm going to.
As of now the car has a 2.5" downpipe to an apexi N1 60mm catback.
An overview of the setup: 94 Teg RS, b18c1
stock head, ported/polished w/type r springs and retainers -stock cam gears
.030 over, stock sleeves, CP 9:1's, eagle rods, nuformz block guard
13 psi from a t3/t4, hondata 200
As of now, I'm running .9 bar. The tune is a basemap for 15 psi, needless to say it is running rich. This is on the above exhaust.
Reguardless of what I do to the exhaust, I am:
Turning the boost to 1.0 bar, or a little above (15 psi max)
Adding adjustable cam gears
As for the exhaust, I am considering a 3" downpipe, to a 3" catback (whichever one I can get cheap)
OR a 3" downpipe, 3" back through the car w/a 3" muffler in the exhaust channel, and dumping it before the rear tires (cheaper than catback)
basically, excluding the many variables...what do you guys think the gains will be of upping the boost, getting some timing from the adjustable gears, and actually having a good tune? And is it worth it to do the 3" exhaust?

A bigger exhaust can only help. If moneys an option go to Summit or any site that sells pipe and get some to make an exhaust. All my piping from them for my exhaust and intercooler piping plus a 3 in cat and 3in glass pack was like 270. As long as you can fab it up and have someone weld it your gravy. Gl mang

Yep, I am getting my bends from summit, or a guy I met on ebay ( 3 3" mandrels are 40 bucks shipped I think)... I am crossing my fingers for close to 400 fwhp w/ 15 psi, more timing, and 3" exhaust on 93 octane

I'm hopin to pick up 40 hp. Is that far fetched? I know it probably depends on how far off my tune is now, b/c there could be 10-15 hp left in my tune now, before I even add 2psi and 3" exhaust.
