how ya like my b16a setup?
Yes I am a newb but finally got my setup together and dropping it off at the shop shortly.
b16a2:
darton sleeves
JE 8.5:1 pistons
eagle rods
balance everything up
port and polish
3 angle valve job
skunk2 retainers
skunk2 valve springs
ferrea stainless steel valves
thats just the internal work...
I have my tuning stuff (hondata)
havnt decided on injectors but I am gonna be pushing 14 psi on street and 25 on the track so watch out boys in around a year new competition will come from no where. Well hopefully lol...I really really really want to get this car in the VERY low 11's (atleast a 11.20) or even in the tens...but right now I am just gonna play it by ear and not get my hopes up til its done and dynoes/ran on track...I noticed alot of these 10 sec street cars are all 1.8's....time to show some 1.6 power

And most of those 1.8 are sleeved to 2.0. Good luck getting a 1.6 del slow into the 10s though you will need it!
Whats the turbo setup?

Re: (quik sol)
also there is a guy running 11.47's (quikest del sol record holder) with 23 pounds of boost and hardly any tuning plus he never upgraded the intake manifold and stock throttle body, I am gonna have alot more intricet stuff to get me going...he actually didnt do any tuning besides a vortech fmu and a apexi a/f adjuster

yeah 8.5:1 will suck on the already sluggish b16. I couldn't imagine my car being any slower in first gear.

I wouldn't be so sure And since even you say you dont have the knowledge to piece together a turbo kit (prolly the simpliest thing in the "turbo" process) i would worry about other things than trying to go low 11's. Also your sol better be extremely gutted, we have alittle weight advantage over the HB's Although mine is down to right around ~2250 now

Re: (Mpir3)
8.5 to 1 WILL be a dog on the streets, know doubt about it, and with a torque less b16 it will be even worse! they are right! for the track you may be able to get away with it, but like i said don't plan on driving it like a normal street car! otherwise sounds good!
