it good till around 500hp with some 1000cc injectors
you know when your pump is failing when your fuel pressure drops and your astill boosting at that given level. When you see fuel pressure dropping then you got to be concerned

i have done a little math and figured out that if you are maxing out 880's then you are getting very close to the edge on a walbro 255lph high pressure. if you have the low pressure then the limit is even lower, it cant sustain the flow as the pressure goes up.

We've never taken an intank this far nor do I think it's possible... Even with 1000's you're still going to drop pressure long before you hit 500whp... With Lane's (375whp) and Brian's (560whp) EJ6's we have to run MSD inline booster pumps (along with a 255 intank) and 900's... This has been the only inexpensive way to stop the fuel pressure from dropping even under boost... We'll throw an inline in at ~300whp (really a ballpark number) unless we see the FP dropping before then, at which time it's not even worth it to dyno... We dynoed a stock B16A with a DRAG kit the other day running 6lbs. and even with his BBK 255 intake we were dropping 5psi over the rail under boost... It made like 200whp then we couldn't do anymore (atleast until he got an inline or something of the like)... We've seen problems like his before because you really shouldn't have any problems at 200whp but everything in the fuel system except for the stock hardlines had been changed... I would definately say get an intank and see what you need from there... Just my $0.02

Can I add a 255lph inline in the engine bay? Would that help keep the pressure up? How much HP do u think the 750cc's with the intank and inline pump can handle before they reach there full duty cycle?

we were making 510 at the wheel (only at 7000rpms, couldnt go higher b/c of hte clutch) with all stock fuel lines and a walbro hp255lph pump, the fuel pressure was staying constant

Re: How much HP/Boost is a Walbro intank good for? (JDogg)
I made 531whp with a 255lph pump, stock lines, and 780cc injectors. I know its not the safest but fuel pressure didn't drop at all. I did try and run a 50 shot on top of it and pressure did drop.

Re: How much HP/Boost is a Walbro intank good for? (FastAssEG)
The intanks are not meant to work as an inline pump so i probably would recommend it... You guys must have some awesome luck or something, we have just about alway had to run a booster pump even running mild boost (~12-14lbs.)... hybrid901 why did your FP drop with nitrous? If it was a dry kit that's just all the more reason for your pressure to stay up (so long as your pump can support it)...

Re: How much HP/Boost is a Walbro intank good for? (Short Round)
Ground Zero dynoed my car with my Walbro Intank and it made 342whp on there Mustang Dyno, and no problems at all. I got plenty of injector left, and I feel I can still up the boost. We'll see, everyone has their own experience.

I think that you can make 500+ on an in tank pump. Jason Hunt probably makes close to 600hp in his crx. I probably made around 500ish with 810cc injectors. (don't know because cars haven't been on a dyno). I'll let you know in a few weeks what it can handle with 1000 cc injectors.
