Default How much can i safely boost with this setup???...

I just put in...

Bottom End
Arias 9:1 pistons
Eagle rods
ARP head bolts
ACL bearing rod bearing
... so i DID NOT SLEEVE, and i didnt pull out the crank.

Top end (head)
ITR cams
AEM Adj. gears
Skunk2 IM
450DSM injectors

Fuel Management
p28chipped crome
walbro hp fuel pump

So i need to get this thing tuned, but the tuner wants to crank it to 15psi on stock sleeves. Whats safe on this thing? I just wanna daily drive and not have to worry about blowing my motor.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

ps no time to sleeve block thats why i didnt do it.

the whole not pulling the crank thing just makes me wonder what else happened to this motor that was half ***'d... Was this motor bored?

As for everything else the limiting factor will be the size of your injectors which are going to max quickly for a built motor.

My stock sleeves went at only 360whp while some push over 4-500whp without problems, every motor is different.

The tune is all that matters assuming your motor is built well.

you're not going to be able to make much power on those shitty injectors

Well i was just wondering if id be safe to boost 12psi with this setup... is 9:1 compression too low? and are my sleeves able to handle 12 with tune safely?

my original motor was stock turbo gsr until the piston glands broke. so i took out the pistons and im putting in the above listed parts. same standard bore.

no i dont think 12 psi will be doable with the 450's. you can only make about 300hp with the 450s before you have some serious duty cycle going on.

what size turbo do you have, that will effect the outcome of things. its not about psi its about horsepower (well peak cyl pressures and tq...)

A piston/rod motor that has been put together properly is safe for around 500whp and people have made more power than that on stock sleeves. The 450 will max out around 300whp and a 100% motor wil handle that power. What turbo do you have? 12lbs on my car is 480whp, on my friends car, 12lbs is 300whp. To answer your question, stock sleeves will hold 15lbs if it's tuned properly.

finally a good answer. Nobody knows exactly how many psi you can shove through that engine because we dont have a clue what turbo you're using. If you're pushing 14psi on a 14b, then go ahead. If it is a GT42, that's a different story....
