Default How much boost?

B18b block
eagle rods
je pistons
z10 block gridle(if nesasary)
440 injectors
Bosch fuel pump
DRAG 3
Hondata (someday)

How much boost would it handle with and without hondata? Any other info would be nice.

usually anything over 10 to 11 psi is going to require some type of engine management ,but you should be ok up till 15.i think? good luck nice list ,....

i wouldnt run 440cc injectors on a fmu setup. even with the afc, you wouldnt be able to turn it down to get a good idle

i think on fmu/pump setup, 12lbs would be the limit

Even with a 8:1 FMU you are talking about 96psi of added fuel pressure ontop of the stock 40, so ~136psi. I would hate to be your fuel injectors.

I have a stock motor, running 450cc injectors, super FMU(7:1) and an AFC. Idles fine. Boosting at 10psi with 110 octane at the track.

Yea dbman runs 440's with no FMU @7psi w/ a V-AFC and it idles fine too. This is the route i'm taking as well.

What is the ideal setup to run larger injectors??? What do you guys suggest for and ideal fuel system, with 2b hondata? I really don't even want to start out with the stock injectors. I want to do it the right way the first time. That is why Im going to rebuild my engine probably in December, I don't plan on putting the turbo on until at least March. I want to make sure its good and broke in.

As I understand, anything over 450cc and you won't be able to use the stock ECU at all. But since you're going Hondata, I guess you can go for some godforsakenly huge 550cc+ units and just tune them via the Hondata. This will #1. have lots of potential and leave you with alot of room to boost, and #2. put very little strain on your fuel system (pressure at the rail, pump) which is always a good thing

I think only run as big of an injector as U need. Don't overdo it, unless you plan on going further with your setup. Running a big injectors on a daily driver will feel "fat" off boost. It really depends on how fast you want to go. I'm running a little under 10psi with 370cc injectors, and the car feels decent off boost. With stock injectors, the car felt much better off boost. It's your call.

I want to make about 310 to the wheels someday, and hopefully be in the 12's. I pretty much got the who turbo thing down, Im just a little confused with the fuel system.

Well that's not necessarily true, that's why you have an AFC. You're basically leaning the system WAY out under partial throttle to compensate where the injectors would supplying WAY too much fuel, then as boost goes up you can begin to increase the fuel slightly as needed and at the same time retain off boost driveability.

We just ran my buddy's 92 Hatch (B18C1)
JE 81.5mm 9.0:1 CR Pistons
Eagle Rods
Cometic .030" Metal Headgasket
Nuformz Block Guard
RC 310cc injectors
Walbro 190 lph fuel pump
Vortech FMU (8.0:1)
T3/T04E (.63 Housing Stage III Turbine & 57 trim .60A/R Compressor)
116 octane
BKR7E plugs
1 bar of boost

Results: 12.01 @ 115 mph!

We were very pleased with the results, especially since it was 90+ degrees out side this past weekend here in Arizona!

You should be able to get 12's with 280whp on slicks. Of course this means you also gotta be a good driver.

Not really, I had a turbo B16A setup with 450s, a B&M turned all the way up, and a 12:1 Vortech and was able to tune it perfectly.

Not really, most people won't see more than 65-70 psi because the Vortech will only raise pressure until you reach your fuel pump's limit.
