Default How much boost?

I am currently running b20vtec stock block with arp headstuds. I installed my old sohc setup garret t3 super 60 turbo with tial 38mm wastegate and blowoff using hondata s300. I have only driven it up to the gas station never passing 3k rpm. I would like to make 300hp or close with this setup. The wastegate currently has a 6psi spring. How much psi should I do to make this power and not stress out the motor nor turbo?

That is something for your tuner to answer!

Again. Call your tuner and ask. Some people can make a lot more or a lot less depending on the tune.

Closer to the Max efficiency of that turbo - probably 13-15psi... either way after 15psi it will start falling off efficiency map. It really does depend on the tuner though, and how much you want your tune to be on the edge.

Wanting 300hp out of a straight t3 60 trim is pushing the turbo to its very limit.. don't be surprised if you don't make 300hp

You really need to figure your vacuum pressure at idle and go from there to determine what spring to start with otherwise you will be paying your tuner a lot of coin for things you could have done for free! Boost controller or just wastegate?

I don't have experience but I have read and read for the past two years to know what needs to be done. And I can guarantee the only thing my tuner with be charging for is a tune!

...and it shows. What you stated is ONLY for the BOV and assumes you don't have an adjustable one.

OP - I already gave you your info. Get a 1 bar spring and take it with you. You will need it. If you rather listen to the peanut gallery then so be it, join them.

Are you sure you mean T3/T04E 60 "trim" (52lbs/min)? THAT's about 440whp. Not the T3 "Super 60" (35lbs/min) wantboost is referring to.

Just trying to clear up any confusion between the two before it gets ugly..

lol. maybe. its just the cheap turbo that came with the peakboost kit. so yes i was talking about the t3/t4.

If you would have read the very first post in this thread there would have never been any confusion.
