how much Boost?

Default how much Boost?

ok my question is how much boost can a stock y8 head safly take? built bottom end but the head is stock? 8:5:1 compression

i would say a stock head could take 200psi no problem

ok its like this.

it isnt the head that handles boost, its the revs the valvetrain can handle.
200 psi or 2 psi, if you are revin the hell out of it, thats where it fails.

well you really want high compression in conjunction with a turbo. 8.5:1 is much too low, i'd say go 20:1 and you could boost to about 48 psi no problem. look at the big rigs!
