How to mount a GM 3 Bar MAP Sensor?
Hey guys, I got all the wiring information from Hondata's website, but how do you actually mount the 3bar map sensor? My stock MAP is mounted on the throttle body. Any help would be appreciated.
you will have to get the pig tail for the gm map sensor and run the oem map sensor wires to the pig tail and plug the pig tail to the gm map sensor. You can let the oem sensor unplug. I like to use aluminum to make a tamplate mount it close to the throttle body but on the fire wall.
I made my own mounting bracket and mounted it to the firewall using two self tapping screws. I used two L shaped brackets that I bought at hardware store. I found them in the door hinch section. I've also seen people just use two self tapping screws and mount it directly to the firewall using no bracket at all.
Thanks guys. I ordered the pigtail as well. So the GM map sensor doesn't need to be mounted a certain way? Can I leave the stock map sensor in as it will now be defective, or should I take it off?
So just splice into the stock harness from the pigtail, and plug the GM map sensor into the pigtail, then unplug the stock map sensor?

I used zip ties to mount mine
It might not be clean, but it does the job...

i mounted mine to the firewall using 2 long sheetmetal screws. works great and is clean as you can get. \it is mounted where the evap plug was.
heres a pic wit red silicone hose.

heres another pic further away with black silcone hose. its right between the fuel filter and the resistor box

Thats word for word exactly what I did. For the vacuum source, I got a badass little map sensor blockoff plate that had a 90 degree brass fitting on it and just ran that to the 3-bar on the firewall.
