how long do oil pumps last?
oem type r/gsr/etc.... revving to 9k(if that matters)...500whp etc....
im going on 4years....how long have you guys had your pumps in before changing them?

Four years is too long IMO. Not to mention I am sure in those four years you have put quite a few "street" miles on it 
I have about 10,000 miles on mine and will be replacing it here shortly

Oil pumps last a long time at 9k rpm and under. You start to have a problem when you go over 9k rpm, but if you have 4 years on it it sounds like time to change it LOL.

Yes. The gear wear over time. If you have an oil pressure gauge what does your oil pressure look like at idle, 3000RPM and 6000RPM?

looks like i need to check my oil pressure to see where it is at... where should the oil pressure be at idle, 3k, 6k etc.... thanx

i tried asking in the prelude section, but no one replied.
if i take off my oil filter and crank the motor and no oil comes out, is this 100% without a doubt a blown oil pump??
