How good would it be to boost this?
My friend and I were just debating, about boosting a ls/vtec. Just curious if this has what it would tkae to get an integra into high 12's on azenis tires...
b18b b16a2 head, 10.8 compression ratio, probe rods, itr pistons, gsr cams, b16 tranny, and hondata.
Assume the turbo is either a t3/t4 .63 or a t3 60-1. I guess the integra weighs in at 2500 without driver.
How good do you think this motor would be to boost? How much power do you think it can make so the itr pistons wont blow? Just outta curiousity..
No changing any of the above mentioned block parts, but the turbo stuff is all up in the air...
Lets hear the guestimate times and guestimate powers.

if the ls/vtec is built correctly then boosting it is no problem. most use lower compression then that when building, but not a issue if you get your tuning down. if you have hondata should not be a issue.
platinum.

<rant>azenis aren't drag radials. Why does everyone keep thinking that? </rant>
anywho, yeah, your compression is kina on the high side for boost, but if you get a GOOD tune on it with your hondata, you should be fine. and with the extra compression, you will make a lot of power at a lower boost level than a lower CR counterpart.

Not a problem in getting in the 12's, just restating what everone else said, if it's built correctly you wont have a problem.

how much power do you think i'll need to make to hit high 12's?
Yah, i know 10.8 is high, but i like how R's are boosted, and 10.8 doesn't seem too much of a difference from 10.6...

2 points is kind of a big difference. I hope you plan on running race gas with that compression and goals. On the street, you will have to run very low boost.(suggested)
Anyway what makes you choose such a high compression? Just curious. I am sticking to 10:1 since it seems in the mid range of high and low comp.

i chose that b/c i like how boosted R's have performed...
I didnt know .2 would have been that much of a difference...
well here we have 94 octane if that makes a difference
i heard i need 400whp? is this true to hit hihg 12's on street?

Nope, your can hit high 12's with about 250whp and slicks. I'm on the verge of 12's as soon as i find a set of decently priced slicks.
Thats for a civic coupe weighing about 2,500lbs w/driver
