i just got a turbo kit and would like to know would i be able to boost my set up without blowing it right away? What would be safe amount of boost? 5psi?

Any advice,opinion,comments are welcome

Man thats a lil high for compression...stock internals?

rods/pistons arnt that much. If your motor blows more then likely it'll mess your head up sleeves and/or turbo.

im 11.3 on 6 pounds hondata and 100 octane its a blast to drive spools up the sc-61 like crazy no lag, its like an all motor car on stariods.

You can, low boost and perfect tuning but you are pushing it.

ya 297 whp and 194 tq on a mustang dyno plenty for the streets

Good tuning (at least a nice engine management system with a competent tuner) and keeping the power under 300 WHP and you should be okay. I have 94 oct pump gas available locally, and I was running at 11.5:1 CR on a GSR motor w/ GT28RS @ 8 psi (286 WHP) for a good while and the engine had no problems taking it. It was only after I upped the boost to 12-14 psi that I realized the engine was kissing at detonation limit (a water injection system was installed afterwards).
