Can i turbo my 11.6:1 compression ratio LS/VTEC????
i just got a turbo kit and would like to know would i be able to boost my set up without blowing it right away? What would be safe amount of boost? 5psi?
Any advice,opinion,comments are welcome

rods/pistons arnt that much. If your motor blows more then likely it'll mess your head up sleeves and/or turbo.

Good tuning (at least a nice engine management system with a competent tuner) and keeping the power under 300 WHP and you should be okay. I have 94 oct pump gas available locally, and I was running at 11.5:1 CR on a GSR motor w/ GT28RS @ 8 psi (286 WHP) for a good while and the engine had no problems taking it. It was only after I upped the boost to 12-14 psi that I realized the engine was kissing at detonation limit (a water injection system was installed afterwards).
