Default HOW TO GET MORE PSI?

Sorry noob here, i got a turbo ls with a manual boost controller. i turned it all the way up but my max boost is 8 psi. How can i go higher? why am i limit to 8? i know turbo ls stock internals can at least handle 12 psi with good tune. Let me know Thanks.

Either you have your boost controller lines routed incorrectly or you have a really weak gate spring I doubt this though... take your lines off completly and see what it makes.

12 psi on what turbo? HP is what you should be looking at for the limits of the stock block. what is the wastegate set to?

PSI means nothing. I agree make sure you have the boost controller hooked up right.

wastegate springs are set to 12 psi.

just take off the lines that connects to the boost controller and leave it open?

If you have a 12 psi spring in the wastegate, just disconnect the mbc completely. Run a boost reference line from the compressor housing of the turbo to the bottom port on the wastegate. That should give you 12 psi, unless you have other issues such as boost leaks.

Sounds like he has a boost leak somewhere if he's only getting 8psi of pressure, and the spring is set to 12psi (assuming he is sure that the spring is, in fact, 12psi.

i just took out the boost controller and it hit 12 psi. Thanks though

50mm 12 psi wastegate and a t3/t4 50trim turbo
