boost controller wont set lower psi
hi im having issues with my boost controller. I got a turboxs manual boost controller, its the silver small one. I close the valve all the way and i boost about 9 psi of boost, if i start to open it goes to 10 psi but wont go any lower or higher..i got a 38mm wastegate with 6psi spring inside. Any way or is there a trick onto lowering the boost i want to run about 7-8 psi

I've dealt with this on a few other cars we recently turbod... The turbo XS boost controller won't go lower than 9-10 lbs (I've tried with both 4 lb and 6 lb wastegate springs). On our customer cars with FMU we just use wasyegate spring of 6 lbs, then when they go with EMS and injectors, put that boost controller in and start with 9 lbs boost and go up.

Re: (rickturboteg)
I've had to deal with this on a couple cars. I cut the spring on the inside of the boost controller and expanded the spring out. This releases some of the pressure on the ball in the boost contoller so it will work.
Another thought. Make sure your vaccum lines arn't too long
