how do i set up a boost controller on a dual gate manifold?
hey guys im stuck with a problem..
i have a full race manifold for k20 with dual 44mm gates.
both gates have the same springs(big blue 14psi)
im using the aem tru boost controller but when the car gets to 14 psi it falls on its face..
do i need 2 boost controllers?
any ideas?

are you sure you need 2 gates?
Try disconnecting one gate from your boost controller...just run on one gate to see if the problem goes away.
The turbo may be having trouble keeping up when you open up two 44mm dumps simultaneously..

What do you mean it falls on it's face, you mean it's doesn't boost any higher or the car loses power?
You hook two gates up the exact same way you hook one up. Lower ports should go to the turbo and the upper ports should be T'ed together and run to your BC.

no need for two controllers, one works just fine. explain your problem. what do you mean, falls on its face?

first off are you using a divided turbine housing with your divided manifold?
You dont need 2 boost controllers.
When you say fall on its face what do you mean? does it break up, does it hit maybe a boost cut or lean cut? Is the car tuned? Im gonna guess you are using AEM for an ems. Give us some more info and maybe we can figure out your problem.

ok i have a fullrace manifold that is divided. so i do need the 2 gates.
the car is running on kpro. everytime we go to the dyno and try to tune
the car tunes fine up to 14psi. anything more than 14psi the car stops making power. at 14 psi the car makes 460hp.
we tryed going up on boost as far as 30 psi then only puts out 480 hp when we go up that high on boost, it makes no sence to up another 16 psi and make only 20hp
more.
i checked to see if the exhaust is flowing and it is. it knocked out the wide band out of the tail pipe at 30 psi.... and the boost guage shows the 30psi
this is why i was wondering if i need 2 controllers

Sounds to me like your BC and WG are working fine. What map sensor are you running? Whats your boost reading in the logs? How is your tuner not able to figure this out, what does he have to say about it?

what do the logs say? does it say your holding xxx amount of boost throughout the pull? or is it only peaking at what u are targeting? also make sure your diaphrams arent torn

The o2 that's threaded into the downpipe? Does that not strike you as odd? Maybe a clue to your problem?
Wait, you talking about a wideband stuffed into the muffler?
Either way, if it's making 30psi and not making power, it's not a boost control problem.

So the boost gauge is showing that you are maintaining 30psi but you are only gaining 20hp from 14 to 30 pounds?
