I was running a 35r on my stock gsr at 12psi with a 38mm gate and no boost creep. Then I built and sleeved the block to 84mm with the same manifold and waste gate and it wouldn't hold less the 17psi so I had to upgrade to a 44mm waste gate. Tuner said it was because the motor became more efficient and could flow more air with the bigger bore so the 38mm gate couldn't keep up any more.

I also depends on what manifold you run and what kind of waste gate placement it has.

the waste gate is a JGS precision on a 9lbs spring .. so far so good on 14 psi but i think i wanna go up to about 18 to 20 lbs on the next setup

just wondering how was spool on a 1.6l with the hy35? when did it start as well as how fast did it build.

sorry for the thread jack but the w.g. really depends on how low you wanna run with said turbo. if you run higher boost you really don't have to worry much about boost creep. its when you have a big turbo and wana run low boost is when it just wont cut it. btw your ls-t is beautiful.

the effectiveness of the WG will be shown in the lower boost settings, not higher. ability to hold lower boost, and not creep.

Trevor, spooled up pretty slow, a little better than my s372 on my crx lol

trying to run low boost is where you will have an issue with the 38mm
