are these Turbo Spool up revs ok?
Hallo,
today my new engine is finished and i make one of my first runs.
Setup is: Stock B16A1 with 9.14:1 CR, Garret T3 Turbo, Wastegate set to 7psi
The Turbo began to spool in the first two gears at aprox. 2500rpm and reached full boost under full throttle at 3700rpm.
the manifold is **** so i think with a good manifold the values would be a bit better.
Do you think that these values are ok or should the turbo spool faster?
Thanks
Malte.

I agree, thats some insane spool time. Does the boost hold all the way to redline?

Hi,
i can't check that until now because my fuel management isn't tuned correctly unter full throttle boost... so the engine runs a littlebit to lean under full boost. I will correct that in the next few weeks (at the moment the car is in the garage)
but with the old compression of 7:1 he hold the 0,5 Bar until redline. Only at 1.2 Bar he falls off after 7000rpm to aprox. 0.9-1.0 Bar.
i don't know the exact trim of my Turbo... the only thing i know from the guy i buyed the Turbo from is that it is a T3 Housing with nearly T4 internals but the exact trim i don't know... but i think the spool up is ok... 500rpm less would be great but maybe with the better manifold.
Thanks for your statements
Malte.
