how to adjust Vortech Bov?
well i'm not dumb just need straight facts, i was told that if the bov was to loose i could lose boost pressure during full boost? what is the best way to set it up? Right if i drive normal and hit 1-3 psi it will blow off ( i think its to lose). My instructions say the spring adjuster should be left fully backed off as supplied, well when my friend decided to play with it and i never messed with it sense i just want it normal.
the instructions also say it can be adjusted 3"Hg(spring adjuster all the way out) to 6"Hg(spring adjuster 1/8" above the jam nut. The Blowoff valve opening point is set as 16"Hg. (spring adjuster all the way out) and should not be increased.
so can anyone help me out plz
here is a link of the directions, u will have to have adobe reader

The more you tension the screw on the back, the tighter it will be and the more vacuum it will take to open. Honestly, it should be loose enough to open fairly quick out of boost and release all of the pressure but where that setting is will be different for everyone. Just tweak the bolt on the back until you are satisfied. And remember, it also needs a vacuum line from the manifold after the throttle body to the nipple on the back to properly function.
thanks, anyone else?
is the losing boost true or false it ur bov is to loose? and that it shouldn't blow off under low boost (1-3 psi)

I have a situation where my Vortech is making noises like a rattle snake in 4th and 5th gear in full boost.
Which way do i need to turn the screw to tighten the spring? Clockwise or counterclockwise?
Thanks!
