I currenty have a Turbo setup consisting of the AFC Hack with 370cc injectors

I am getting the Greddy emanage with the two additional injector harness.
I was thinking off going back to the stock injectors and then using 2 additional 450cc injectors such as the fmax kit uses. Figuring my idle and off boost would be alot better then the afc hack

What would be the best location of the 2 injectors?
Whould this be a bitch to tune?
Should i copy the method fmax uses with putting them in the charge pipe before the TB?

you can use two in the intake stream like intercooler piping probably 10 inch from the tb.

is there any company that sells universal bungs to be inserted in piping our would that been a custom thing i would have to make???

Would putting them into the intake manifold (got an str) be better
I was thinking one between 1 and 2 and one between 3 and 4 would that be better then in the charge pipe

Put it in the pipe before the tb aimed straight in the pipe. It works best when the fuel goes in and hits a wall rather than flowing with the air. This will help atomization and it's really all you can do to help distribute evenly. It wouldn't be as good in the manifold. I have done a few cars this way and it works very good. Also, greddy has some real nice injector bungs available in steel or aluminum. I have 2 aluminum ones and 1 steel in stock if you need them.

Aw its comin pretty good Ive totally gone through the motor and put 2G pistons on the 1G rods polished and shootpeened rods and replaced all the bearings on the crank and rods just back to stock the clearences checked out perfect on that. I also put all new valves in the head and had it went through also. But so far as parts Ive bought an Evo mani, greddy egt, autometer boost gauge, got a big 16g ported and clipped on the way, buschur exhaust on the way. then ill be coming to see you with my s-afc and 550 injectors to get you to tune.

Ive done a lot of other stuff too but too much to list.

Yeah, i'm making another fuel rail for the other 4 and I've got some dummy aluminum injectors to mock everything up with. I've also got some little aluminum injector bungs to weld to the manifold. It's gonna come out nice, no worries.

Next level - the aluminum ones are like $30 apiece.

I have read some engine books, and they all pretty much say the same. The targeting of the four primary injectors is the most important. As far as for extra injectors, putting them upstream works well, but the direction the fuel gets sprayed into the intake system has very little effect on anything. You can point them backwards and them will still work fine.

Ok well i will let you know this week i am having trouble because i got a drag3 gsr charge pipe and i got a ITR so the bov flange isnt in a good spot relating to my strut bar ---when i get that settled with what charge pipe i am using i will let you know because i dont want to get a incompatable metals.

I woundn't put the extra injectors on the charge pipe (whatever you do)...I had this setup for a while and all the fuel gey sucked into Cyl 1 and makes it run really rich while the others run ok...

I don't know why it didn't work for you, but i've done this setup many times with great success. Maybe your primary injector for cyl. 1 was the culprit. If you spray early enough upstream you should have good atomization and distribution between the cylinders.

OK tony1 got my setup looks like i am gonna need 2 steel holders
Here it is a was planning on putting them in the greddy elbow pipe that i used...DO you think this is "early enough upstream" in your idea

nope..as soon as I disabled the two extra injectors...everything distributed evenly again...

you might think about just getting 450's and the smc controller. I have it on mine and I love it, but It depends on what boost you're gonna run I guess.

Ok i am running at most 8psi for now

I started on Stock injectors and FMU/Missing link setup and wasnt happy with that and am not confrontable with the situation of the high fuel rail pressures....so i went with 370cc/VAFC and just wasnt happy with what was goinf on all around at idle...Well i got a set of 450's now and i was going to replace my 370cc/VAFC setup with the 450cc/VAFC setup but i would like to get a nice idle and off boost condition and i wasnt convinced that the 450cc/VAFC will do that for me so i looked at other options....I am going to be getting the greddy Emanage soon and like its option of the two additional injectors and i feel that i will be better able to control my idle and off boost conditions with this setup so i am going to try it. I will be putting back the stock injectors and going with the 2 additional injector setup.....AS far as the 450cc/SMC setup i have seen SMC posts on honda-tech but i havent read up much about it and seen its advantages and disadvantages but i will and consider it.....

Hondata or SMC to say the least. SMC seems like the best bang for the buck with high flow fuel pump and DSM 450 injectors. I don't like extra injector controllers especially when there are so many other options - I like everything to be somewhat integrated with a minimal or individual pieces involved.
