Hondata s300 users, I need help wiring the relay for vtec on non vtec ecu.
Hi I'm sorry if this been ask before or I'm not really understanding the diagram on how to wire the relay to activate vtec on a PO6 non vtec ecu. please help. I tried splicing the wire from output a15 to 85 and vtec solenoid pin # A4 to 87 and hookup the switch to 86 and 30 what else am I missing here.

You simply use the ecu to send out a signal to the relay via an alternate ecu ouput.
The relay then sends 12 volts to the vtec solenoid hence engaging vtec.
If you are not familiar with how a relay works, simply google it. They are very simple.
Example: Pin A20 PCS sends ground signal from ecm to relay.
Relay sends 12 volts to vtec solenoid.
So from the diagram:
85 would be a ground signal.
86 would be a clean 12 volt power supply that is switched on via ignition.
30 would be a clean 12 volt power supply that is switched on via ignition (jumped from 86)
87A would run to the vtec solenoid.
