Default Wiring a switched ground for VTEC control

I understand that I need a 30a 4 pin relay to actuate the VTEC solenoid but does anyone know how to prevent the CEL because the VTEC solenoid line has to be cut to use the relay. I've considered using the VTM wire somehow in conjunction with the VTEC solenoid wire so it sees the correct voltage though not exactly sure how to do this... the second is just wiring the VTEC solenoid wire directly to ground with a resistor & diode inline though I'm not sure if this will work. Any insight would be appreciated!

Using my EFI PMS's switched ground (RPM and load dependant) accessory port to activate a relay to control the VTEC engagement point. The problem with this is that the OEM ECU will see that the wire to the VTEC solenoid is cut and throw a CEL. I'm trying to figure out a way to prevent the ECU from throwing a CEL. I currently have a V-AFC installed to control the VTEC engagement point but having two piggybacks when I can have one.. I'll take the one.
