Hondata S200b - Hooking it all together
Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2004 12:10 pm Post subject: Hondata - Putting it all together.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently purchased a Hondata S200B system.
Came with Pocket Programmer, Pocket Romulator, S200B Interface box,
cables, AC adapter, etc.
My question is how do you use the pocket programmer and pocket romulator together. I've checked out the web site. The picture does not actually show the pocket Romulator. It show an interface card on top of the programmer with a computer cable running to ECU.
Do I plug the romulator into the pocket programmer and then run a serial cable from romulator to the S200 box? Does the flashing take place via the S200 box? If this is the case would I be able to leave the programmer and romulator in the car hooked up? Hidden of course.
Another question. Has anyone experience any problems with the AC adapter supplied. There was a warning on the web site about converting the adapter to full 12V, otherwise the rom would be wiped when cranking the engine over.
Any help would be appreciated. I am kind of a newbie with the Hondata stuff.
Thanks
J
