Hondata problem
background: 92 z6 w/16g. 190lhp pump. ran perfect with mf2 a week ago at 12psi daily. Hondata programmed for 440's and a 3bar map. Will dyno tune in a month.
I removed the MF2 a few days ago and last night I installed a 2B with dsm 450's and a resistor box.
Even after a hondata reset, it stumbles badly and wont rev past 2k. I'm getting a code 3, MAP.
I'm using a 3bar (or was it 2) map from the mf2 setup I previously had, installed per the hondata site's instructions.
It is running very rich and the idle is just cr4ppy. Wont rev past 2k and sounds like chugga chugga chugga on its way to 2k then bounces as if the rev limiter was set there despite setting it to say 6k.
With the stock map plugged in, the same thing. static fuel pressure at 40psi.
help!

when u use the hondata... i dont think you need that mf2 no more. hondata and injectors... thats the combo ive been told is the best to use. that fmu and extra fuel pump gets thrown out the door.
sounds like the car is drowning.. but I've got now experience with Hondata.. so I can't help ya there. Did you check to see if your resistor box was installed correctly on the 450's? Doesn't your car have OBDI not OBDII?
Btw, you didn't leave the MF2 on and run it did you?

heh, of course I removed the mf2.
I'm pretty much sure I installed the resistor box correctly. Only five wires on the bugger.
92+ are saturated, these 450's are peak and hold so i have to use the box.
Can't help to check it for the 203rd time though.

Is your program setup for a 3 bar map?
If the map you have is a 2 bar your car may run poorly. Same thing if you
just swap back to the stock map sensor without changing the program.
This is where datalogging would come in REAL handy.
Either the map sensor is wrong, or the wiring is wrong.
