Default hondata 4bar map sensor???

I'm in the process of getting everything I need to install my JRSC and get it tuned. I'm down to the last few things and wondered if it would be wise to get a Hondata 4bar map sensor. I'm going to be running 8psi so I don't know if this is something that I will need or not. What do you think?

If you won't be seeing over 10psi, (stock map sensor limit), then don't worry about upgrading the map sensor.

4 bar map sensor is something like 40psi, the honda 1.7 bar map sensor is fine up to say 11psi, if you need to upgrade, 2 bar is all you would ever need with a JRSC.

You won't need an aftermarket map sensor for 8 psi, but you will need to re-locate the map sensor's signal from the throttle body to the back of the supercharger so it can see positive manifold pressure with a jackson racing charger.

... If you leave your map sensor mounted on the throttle body on a supercharged engine, it will not be able to "see" the boost pressure because it is before the charger. You need to either mount it in the manifold where it will see pressure, or run vacuum tubing from somewhere downstream to a remote mounted MAP sensor so that it can read the correct pressure

The easiest solution would be to get some vacuum line from your local autoparts store, find a spare d/b/h series stock map sensor off a junk throttle body/engine. Run the vacuum line from the vacuum port on the back of the intake manifold to the spare map sensor. Plug the 3 pin engine harness plug into the map sensor which is reading vacuum from the back of the intake manifold.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks. So I'm assuming the stock map sensor has a barb or something similar that I can push a piece of vacuum line over. Then just find a place to mount it with zip ties or something similar?
