Honda 2001. Turbo???
So I found a salvaged turbocharger, 200 dollars. It's salvaged from a junkyard, out of an old eclipse. It is a t3, but I haven't looked at any specs on the housing trim, and etc. So I can't guestimate spoolup time or anything. My question is, if I have to custom pipe it, and tune it, what are the best ways of going about that??? Would it be in my best interest to talk to an imports shop, or an actual mechanic. With the new model civics, it looks like I am going to have to custom make my grill, and etc. what do you think, is it possible, is this a good turbo to start with??? Anything helps...

Pretty sure eclipse turbos are t25's...anyways you should probably get it checked out you might be better off getting it rebuilt. Do a search for home made turbos and you can get a parts list of what you need or better yet go into a local speed shop and they'll make you a list and can probably get you custom piping made relatively cheap.

If the turbo is out of a 89-94 eclipse than its a 14B model if its a 95 and up car than its a T25.
Both of them have internal wastgates and if you change out the compressor trim and get them ported you will be able to probably run up to about 300Hp out of that turbo.
I would suggest going to a mitsubishi performance website like http://www.extrememotorsports.com/ or another site and seeing what they have to offer on rebuilding those turbos.
Than go from there......

The turbo is a t25, but I can still use it right??? It is in good condition, and doesn't need to be rebuilt, fully intact for only 200 bucks, a 95 eclipse too. What do you think???

The t-25 is a small turbo. I would think spool-up would be almost instantaneous. It'll run out of steam quickly though.
If you can, I would look for a 14B from the older DSM's. Like someone said, you can rebuild and upgrade it easier than the t-25. And you can find some for less than $150 easily.
$200 for the t-25 is on the high-end of the scale...but if it's in good condition, it's all good.
