Wow ive just been inspired a performance d15 w/o vtec...............Ive done tons of research ...........And I want 2 build a small kit.....................I just don't know where to begin as far as the kit itself goes. I've researched the parts and im looking at a T3 set up.......Any advice? Im just kinda worried about install and tuning because I don't know who can do any of it. As far as prices go I've heard from 400 2 4000 so im looking at about 6-700 with home made setup. Any advice you could give me would be great........I looked at doing the mini-me but for the price I figured turbo is better plus more HP

Yes turbo is better than mini me, http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata for engine management. Get an ecu chip with a basemap by Xenocron. Get a junkyard T3, DSM injectors and Sidemount intercooler. Cheap log manifold etc... there's your junkyard kit.

You D series guys have it made in the "cheap turbo" area.

Easily done for under a grand on a d-series.

You can get a used turbo that will last a long time if you look hard enough. I'd suggest a t25 from an s13 (usually at least one one ebay all the time), get a HF-to-t25 flange adapter from someone like WeiRacing (homemadeturbo.com forums), and the main items are done with. $150 for a great t25 (JDM s13's are usually junked or have the turbo upgraded before 50k miles), no need for a wastegate since it's inside the t25, $45 for hf/t25 adapter, $50 for dsm injectors, $40 for a 1g dsm BOV, $150 for madrel bent charge piping and downpipe tubing (if you have a friend that can weld), $75 for SS oil lines, $75 for dsm sidemount IC after you pay a welder ot mod it, $80 for cheap couplers, and $20 to chip your stock ecu (assuming it's currently OBD1) to use uberdata.

All told +60hp should be really easy to get, and the t25 will spool really quick. The other common option is to get a 14b (td05h) turbo from a 1g DSM, which also has an intergrated wastegate. All told, that still really cheap. More than a mini-me, but less than an installed ZC. Also more power than a ZC, let alone a stock b-series. By far the best way to go if you're shooting for 150whp.

DSM sidemounts don't need to be modified and they cost $40
