HKS SSQV questions.
When adjusting the bolt does counterclockwise=easier blow off (to reduce compressor surge). Secondly (from searching for this answer), I've read that a one-way valve should be inline to the vacuum line. Is this true? Which direction (I'm assuming it would allow vacuum to the bov but not positive pressue...or is it the other way around?)

The HKS SSQV has a very soft sring rate. i dont think you will need to lowerthe pressure of the srping rate.If you press on the valve its self it is easily moveable. leave it alone. Now for the one way vavle, i guess iy would be ok to use it at low boost. Say the spring rate is at 9 psi and you are boossting 8 psi. but say you want to run 15 psi.. the BOV wouldnt be able to hold the pressure without the extra support of the positive pressurized line.

Re: HKS SSQV questions. (camp1320.com)
so screwing the bolt inward increases the spring rate? I'm actually having a problem with it releasing along with the wastegate causing a very turbulent air charge at peak boost. (doesn't matter if it's 5psi or 15psi) This question has been asked so many times, yet every archived answer (like yours) doesn't answer it. Does anybody really know?

Turning the screw clockwise tightens the valve (harder to blow-off). You don't need the one-way valve at all. It does make it sound really cool though. Mine is set about 1/4 to 3/8 inches of thread showing. Blows off just fine.
