Hey all, noob to Hondas...
Hey guys, I've got a friend that owns a SOHC VTEC turbo'd 90 Civic sedan. He just recently got it back from a shop that did somewhat shoddy work, and it's completely untuned, IMO.
He told me today that he has VAFC, but is not sure how everything works. (Nor am I)
I'm a Nissan guy, and I've got an SR20DE+T powered 98 SE-R, with a realtime ECU, so tuning isn't a problem for me. It's the VAFC that I've never touched or dealt with, that I'd like to help him with.
I'm not sure what other mods he has, other than a Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump, and T3/T4 turbine and manifold (one of those non-rebuildable eBay knock off's). I think he's got upgraded injectors, but that's about all I can think of that he has. I'm not even sure he's got an AFPR, whether he's running at 3bar or 4bar, etc.
Basically, I'm wondering if someone can give me a quick run down on settings on the VAFC, to help him at least get a street tune. As of right now, he's a little hurt that I walk all over him at the track, and I'm a little heavier, with a smaller turbine at 10psi.
Anyhow, thanks for your help in advance.
(For the record, I did try searching with even the simplest keywords, such as VAFC, or SAFC, and the search results didn't report ANYTHING.)

In all honesty don't waste your time with the VAFC. Get the ecu chipped with crome or uberdata and get a real tune. Here's a link to a thread that has a bunch of well-known tuners, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1347699. Since your friend is in texas, he has some pretty good choices when it comes to looking for a tuner.
