ok my friend has a lsvtec turbo and we went to dyno it and it didnt go so well. this is the problem the car runs fine before vtec at 5200rpm put once he cracks vtec it sputters/hesitates like crazy. and we cant seem to figure out the problem. we checked the the fuel filter and it was good, plugs are new, dizzy new, wires new. and we tried mixing race gas also and it still does the same thing.

setup is
ls bottom end
itr oil pump

with a gsr head
itr springs and retainers
itr cams
blox im
and 65mmtb
550 injectors peak and hold
walbro in tank 255

i've read on here of a guy having the same issues but his problem turned out to be some unknown cams.

are you sure they are oem itr cams and not some ebay wannabezz ? lol

what do you mean "look" like itr cams ?

if this was me and i couldnt figure out wtf is going on i'd put in some cams that i know for sure what they were and see if the problem goes away.

That sounds like a tunning issue. Is this a basemap the car is running on or a real tune? It probably either goes lean or dumps fuel when vtec hits causing that hesitation.

What kind of exhaust manifold are you using?

sls shorty manifold and it never got to be fully tuned cause of this problem
