Let's see here...

Looks like a good setup so far, just a few questions.

- Where did you get your pricing from? $105 for a dumptube is about 4 times what I've paid in the past.
- Charge piping and intercooler piping are the same thing, and will probably cost you more than $110.
- The couplers and clamps will cost you more than $50 unless you buy really cheap quality stuff.
- $25 for a set of plugs? Where are you buying your parts? lol
- I wouldn't worry about the cam shaft, you can easily hit 300 without even touching the head. I would save your money and leave the head stock for now.
- Go with a kteller 3" exhaust

That's all I can think of right now.

Good luck.

If I were you, I would plan like you have, and then just start buying parts. I've built a number of turbo systems and it doesn't always end up like I had originally planned.

I usually start with buying the turbo and or manifold combo, then go from there. Looks like you have already done a good amount of research, now the hard part is saving up for all those parts. lol

My first turbo system took me almost a year of saving, buying parts, and researching... but when it all went together like I had planned I was happy that I had done my homework. And that first time I hit boost.... oh boy. One of the best feelings ever, knowing I had built the system myself and that it worked so well.

Anyways, good luck.

Just a heads up, Stealthmode oil lines are on sale for 75, I'm sure that includes shipping too.

supertech valves and springs are like 600. pm the sponcer on H-T and he'll let you know a good price.

i went with ferrea for my z6 head as i plan to revvin to 9k and it cost about a 1000 for valves, valvesprings, ti retainers, and keepers. (6000 series)

and spark plugs are like 6 bucks at my napa. 25 is over kill hahaha

from what i've read, the gt28rs should easliy put you in the 300 range but i'd be suprised to see more then 350 without a port job on the head. im still a noob when it comes to understanding turbos and what they produce and teh ar and compresser wheel size still. but keep reading, ur on the right track.

Still probably need a few misc parts along the way, I'm trying to cut costs though, I wasn't hoping to spend this much. I still have to buy the car, which is 2,000. Any chance their is a cheaper turbo that will put me in the same power range? Thanks alot for all the help/support guys.

Sorry about the double post, but I'm just trying to figure out the setup I want done, and trying to figure out my budget.

Does anyone run a EVO III Big 16G Mitsu turbo? Here's my question, in my other thread about my build, I went all out and replaced everything. I'm getting my brothers car for 2,000, and it's all set up to run a mitsu 14B turbo. I want more power out the car, so I made a build list with prices. It got very pricey and I'm not so sure I want to spend almost 9K after everything. So here's my question, if I build up a D16Z6, swap out the 14B with a 16G, how do you think this will do? With the 14B, the engine is stock and he runs 10psi. After I build, I could swap out the 14B for the 16G because it's a direct swap, so the car would already be set up for it, and turn up the boost. This is probably cheaper, but not anywhere near as good as my original planned build. I could reuse mostly all his parts because the 14B and the 16G have the same setup. Thanks for the help.

Need:
D16Z6: $800
Turbo: EVO III Big 16G $700
Oil Feed and Oil Return Lines: $100
Eagle Rods: $375 Honda 1.6, All D16 SOHC VTEC and non-VTEC and ZC 5/16" ARP 2000 Bolts- 1.771 crank pin / .748 piston pin / .898 b.e. width-NON VTECNotes: Stock

Zex Camshaft: $275
Valves & valve springs: $700
Precision 680cc injectors: $325
Hondata S300 - $700

Have:
Upgraded fuel pump

Total: $4,125
Total w/price of car: $6,125

Much cheaper then my original build, of a total with $6,535 with just parts, and $8,535 after I bought the car. Plus if I needed help, labor costs. I'm just not sure what kind of power this would produce. I was hoping of a safe 300whp, but not run it with those settings while DD, just weekend fun and that kind of stuff. Please let me know what you guys think.
