Default help with turbo size...

Just looking for what trim and a/r should I be
getting for a

B18C stock block
B16 port and polish head
Portflow springs & retainers
Skunk2 stage 2 cams
flat valves
Was planning to go all motor but ran out of funds.
So switching to the dark side.

I am looking at a T3/T04E snail.
Using a Revhard casting manifold.
Tial 38mm wastegate.

Can I still use the cams or should I get rid of them?
The car will be a daily driver.

I was thinking 57 trim stage 3 wheel and 63 a/r.
Does that sound good or there any other suggestions?

I would like to get close to 300whp.

Thanks..

I wanted it for daily driving and sometimes to the 1/4 track.
Not a lot of money so I am getting a T3/T04E.
I am not planning to work on the block for now but maybe later on to compliment my head.

I would like boost to develop at around 3-4k rpms and stay up to 6-8k

Only planning to run 8lbs on low boost and 10-12lbs on high boost.

All this is going into a 94 gsr turtle.

Well with everything u just said id personally go with the faster spoolin' t3/to4b
its not as efficient for boost over 18lbs but with the amount of boost you are planning on running this turbo would be perfect for you. fast spool, good power

60 trim or a little bigger t3/60-1 63 AR will give you nice hp with about the same spool as the t3/t4. (depends on AR also)

Dont worry about the boost psi, that means nothing really. The amount of boost pressure and the resulting hp level will be different for different turbos. You said earlier that you wanted 300whp, so shoot for a turbo that will give you what you want @ a flow that correlates to the 300hp.

You will be hard pressed to find a turbo that will not produce power so early that you spin the wheels, but will spool as early as 3k rpm. For your app, smaller is prolly better. If you don't have the $$$ for a gt series turbo then try the 50 trim t3/t04 e or b turbos. If you have some extra $$ then go with the gt2871 (with the t3 turbine housing) for sure.
