Default HELP! t25 steel or cast?

i need to weld my steel adapter plate to my t25 exhaust flange/housing but i don't know what the turbo exhaust housing is made of. is it cast? can i weld it to my adapter plate?

pretty sure its cast. its do-able, but its gotta be a really competent welder if you want it to support any weight. y not just get an adapter plate made and use bolts? its prolly cheaper, and if you switch turbos then you dont need another adapter, if you keep it in the same turbo family.
