Help! Need to relocate some stuff to install Turbo (FMAX)
I'm having problems fitting my intake piping off my intercooler (FMAX kit).
I am hitting the radiator reservoir and a couple of relays (I think they are the ABS failsafe relays according to the HELM manual). Do you think it will matter if I remove the relay bracket and move these relays out of the way? My ABS wont deploy or something silly like that? What about the reservoir? Can that be moved anwhere else?
thanks

Ask MiraiZ... he says that the Fmax kit is entirely bolt on with no modification

Its supposed to be. I don't think so though. He doesn't know. He's waiting for his kit to come still.

Torin,
You've really got get som pics together soI can get an idea of youre doing. The pipes should go around the relays, but if they dont you may have been sent the wrong pipes....check up with someone from FMAX and see what they say..

Let me just say, there couldn't be another way to get a pipe up through there. There just isn't any room. I must assume its the correct pipe but I will call them monday.
I don't know where else you can cram that huge radiator reservoir.

Re: Help! Need to relocate some stuff to install Turbo (GruvyTune)
i have seen some intake pipes with some extra kinks in it for cars with ABS to clear the relay box. Anyways...FMAX does "semi" guarantee "no hacks" for standard stock cars listed on their website, so I'd ask the them whats going on....they might have sent you a non-ABS pipe by mistake, or they may give you advise on what to do to get it to fit...cheers

that would suck to have to relocate ABS and the fluid resivoir. I guess the Drag is fairly well bolt-on then.

well, looking again at it, it seems if they made the upward turn of the first leg of the intake piping off the intercooler, it would clear all of that. In that case, they would have to shorten the 2nd part of the intake pipe accordingly. I will call them tomorrow and bitch about it. I don't want to have to start relocating stuff!!
