Help with my avcr
I got a tial 35mm wastegate with a 5.5psi spring in it. I hooked up my avcr and set it to the lowest possible settings(bst-0.20, duty-0.20) and it keeps going higher than 11psi. I really don't want to see where it'll stop beucase im only tuned to 5.5psi. I checked all my connection and everything seems fine. What is the problem here?

Re: Help with my avcr (dasher)
With the AVC-R off, you should read 5.5 psi. With it on, it will automatically self-learn at more than 75% throttle and above the N-E start point. Just set the duty cycle to something reasonable and the boost to whatever boost you want to run and do a long third gear pull. It will adjust duty cycle to reach the set boost level. Make sure you have some high octane fuel so you don't blow your motor as boost spike may occur. Also, make sure you have the boost ref from the compressor going into the bottom port and the tee from this line going to the solenoid. You can run the other side of the solenoid into the top of the WG or to open atmosphere. I recommend running it into the top port.

Maybe a dumb thought but is your wastegate too small? If you wastegate is too small or your dumptube is too much of a restiction it will cause you to overboost. Just a thought.

Re: Help with my avcr (Kwuaymaikrup)
I run 6 psi with my AVC-R off and I also have a 35mm Tial wastegate. O say make sure your boost reference lines are connected properly with no leaks. Oh yeah, make sure to use silicone hose as standard rubber vac lines will vulcanize, crack, and leak. Don't forget, the wastegate gets very hot and the boost lines are in direct contact with it.
