Default Intercooler pipe sizing

First off - I have a 2000 Civic SI with a B16A2

I am just about to order the intercooler pipes from JcWhiney and I need some help. If I am planning on about 250whp and I have an intercooler with in/out holes of 2 1/2" should I stay with 2 1/2" the whole way through or should I make the pipe from the compressor housing to the intercooler 2" to improve air movement as some have suggested on these boards ??

SO my question really is should I run the same size pipes as the intercooler will allow or should I try to use some stepper hoses to try and make the air move as quickly as possible for my application??

Thanks in advance for your opinions !

Default Re: Intercooler pipe sizing (brkrnu)

I have the same car use 2 or 2 1/4" in and 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" out, either should work fine
