help with head gasket and boosting on drag gen 3 kit for b16
just installed the drag gent 3 kit on my b16 hatch 94`, what can be the safest psi to run on stock internals? if i lower the compression of the engine can i boost at higher psi? at the moment i havent attached thewastegate vacum and im running at full boost though i only get to drive it once a fortnight due to the rubbish weather here! what headgasket/compression is recommended for higher boost? also, if i need to change the internals, what is required to be changed? can u point me 2 the right direction at the right price? please remember im in the UK, so theres not much help from tuners. thanx...

on stock internals you can boost 7-8psi safely. The lower compression the more you decrease the chance of detonation, however just going to a lower compression isnt going to insure you can boost more without any problems. Stock internals arent the strongest in the world and boost can cause them to fail over time. I would recommend investing in a good fuel management system and having your car dyno tuned. I wouldnt go any higher then 9psi max (which is on the border of pushing it) on stock internals once tuned.
