Default Help: DSM injector -> manifold Install.

Did search yet I'm a little unclear about certain things.

I took off the fuel rail, stock injectors and got out 2 grommets.
a Lower Grommet which is hard plastic
and an Upper Grommet which is soft rubber

When trying to put in the DSM's, I left the lower grommets in the manifold and placed the upper grommets around the DSM's (they fit on nicely). I then tried to squeeze the grommeted injectors in the manifold. No luck.

Right now, I turned my upper grommets inside out and bored them with the dremel. It's a bit late and the bugs are out - so I'm done for the evening. But tomorrow, my question will be.

Take out the lower hard grommets or leave them in?
Try the upper softer grommets, should I put them around the injectors first or in the manifold first? How exactly did you guys do this?

..thanks for being patient w/ my stupid question.

i took the lower ones out (the hard plastic ones) and used the upper sleve and the gromet that gos into the bore. i did turn mine inside out i just used the bigger dremeal sanding drum with fine grit and only go half way into the gromet if you did them all the way then you will need new ones.
