whats up my d series turbo is done today and for some reason the turbo is barely spooling. open turbo no down pipe , i thought because most of the exhaust is coming out of the internal wastegate hole. is it good to run all vacuum line from one area? i have a really big intercooler and that might be it. ive been buggin so please some one tell me its not a big deal and just get the down pipe put on. thanx

 

are you using an internal or external wastegate? if you are using a external wastegate then your problem is cause by not running a downpipe, the downpipe flange is supposed to block off the internal wastegate hole. and what you mean by open turbo? no charge pipe?

 

put your exhaust on, and block that weak *** internal gate off if your using an external gate.. and drive the car dont sit in your driveway/garage and just try to rev it to get boost

 

yeah if your wastegate hole is open, how are you going to make boost?? Thats how you control boost, so obviously that is going to hurt you.
