Default help with b18c5 bearings

i am freshening up the motor in my car and was just going to put in the same bearings until i found the color was worn off on the rod bearings.i've got the colors for hte mains, but not the rods(mains are blk, blk, brn, blk, blk).the problem is,i was told by crower to consider the rods as a number three.the b18c5 doesn't have single digit numbers.it has 21,22,23,24,25,26.the letters onthe crank are different as well.mine are y,y,z,z.i don't know what number to consider the rods to be.also,i wanted someone's opinion on just using some clevite standard bearings.they are much cheaper.i was just wondering if anyone had done this with any success.if not,is there a way to order them in them in sizes like you do the honda bearings.i have built several, but have always used honda bearings.thanks!

the type r has a suplement manual.as far as bearing go,the mains are the same as a gsr.the rods have numbers21-26t instead of 1-4.also,the crank letters for the rods are t,v,w,x,y,z instead of a,b,c,d. you may come up with two different colors according to the chart(i.e. x & 23 says green and brown on the chart).i guess it's like that so you could choose a looser or a tighter bearing. the thing i am after is how do you determine whichrod number to choose.you are also supposed to set the rod torque with a connecting rod gauge instead of a torque wrench for some reason.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just removed the rods and pistons from my B18C5 and I am unable to distinguish the color on the side of the rod bearings. The rod journals on the crank are stamped X.
And the 4 rods have a 24 on one side.
What bearing color corresponds to those markings?
Help!!

I'm in the same boat. Does any one know where I can find the chart? That's really all I need. Thank you.
