Default Type R Rod Bearings question

My codes revealed that I have one brown and one black bearing on one of my rods. Since brown is listed on the top in the chart, does that indicate that it is the top rod bearings? The Helms never tells which is which, and my colors are not visible.

When calling in my order for bearings to Baranco, I was told that the rods always use the same colors and should not be mix matched, but according to the book, that is not the case.
Could someone shed some light?

when its 2 diff. colors it shouldnt matter which color is on top or bottom..follow the code on your block, rods, crank and whatever you get from that just order according to the chart
